Dad thought it would be best if I went off to boarding school while he and my step mother went through the whole divorce process. Earlier in the week dad called full of excitement the divorce was done and final and the house was finished. He had just finished moving in. Since I was ahead in my classes I thought I would drive home for a long weekend to surprise dad and help finish unpacking and getting the house set up.
